One of the first times we connected celebrities with hot tubs was when Eddie Murphy debuted his famous SNL skit, “James Brown’s Celebrity Hot Tub Party.” Click on the above video and hear him singing: “shall I get in the hot tub…will it make me wet?”
Other comedic television shows have had episodes devoted to hot tubs as well. Who will ever forget Kramer buying one and installing it in his apartment, in a Seinfeld episode (1995). Of course, chaos ensued and his tub’s heat pump blew out all the fuses in the building.
And, of course, there’s the more recent episode of The Big Bang Theory when Howard and Bernadette purchased a hot tub.
But funny television entertainment aside, do celebrities enjoy hot tubs when a television or movie script doesn’t require it?
Apparently, the answer is a resounding yes!
Before she got an adverse social media reaction for her hot tub photo with her infant baby (below), Beyoncé was captured posing near her onboard hot tub. Photo: Pop Sugar Photo Gallery
As we wrote back in a previous blog, Beyoncé posted this photo on Tumblr and received a lot of criticism. The singer probably ensured the water temperature was safe. Nonetheless, all the concern brings up a good point: hot tubs are very dangerous for infants.
Can you guess who these celebs are? If you guessed Chris Brown and Rihanna, you’re right. celebritygossip.net caught them in 2008, just before a Teen Choice Awards show.
And here Rihanna is in a hot tub on her birthday, somewhere where it’s cold enough to snow.
Here’s Mariah Carey looking good while taking a dip in the hot tub at her Aspen, Colorado, home. She seems to be wearing some type of gold boots to match her suit. That saves shoveling to the hot tub, doesn’t it? Photo: AOL Entertainment

In the end, we’re all stars in our own lives, aren’t we? And the water’s fine. So call your entourage – including your pooch!
