A perfect way to set up the space in your yard for your new Bullfrog spa is through the use of a deck. Your spa can be installed on top, or flush with the deck surface giving it the appearance of a built in spa. Long Island Hot Tub, along with our affiliation with the Deck and Patio Company, makes it very easy for you to make your dream backyard a reality.

Step 1: Choose a Material

1. Natural Wood Decking

While natural wood decking has beauty unmatched by any other decking materials, it does have more maintenance requirements. Cedar, Mahogany, and Iron Wood (IPE) as a decking surface, requires some maintenance on a regular basis also. All can be stained to your personal color preference.

2. Composite Deck Materials

Though no decking material is truly “maintenance-free,” composite decking materials require minimal maintenance and care. Composite decking materials are a blend of wood and plastic, making them very durable, while maintaining their beauty. There are a variety of brands and colors, many of which are on display at our Design Center.

Step 2:  Find a Design Right for You

The owners and operators of Long Island Hot Tub have been leaders in the designing, construction, and maintenance of decks all over Long Island for over thirty years. We have a fully trained staff of expert designers and builders, and we always put customer satisfaction first. That is why we offer free design consultations at our Design Center in Huntington Station, or at-home consultations with one of our expert designers for a small cost. Our designers will come prepared with a complete portfolio of photos of completed works. As you choose which ones you like the best, our design team will have a better understanding of exactly what style of deck you like, and what type of deck they could design for you. We will also ask for a copy of the survey of your home to best understand what type of space we have to work with, and how we can use that space effectively. Our designers can then create a sketch by hand, create a computerized rendering using AutoCAD, or even create a three-dimensional animation for the most realistic idea of exactly how the design will come to life.

Patios

Long Island Hot Tub can also use brick, natural stone, pavers, and other landscaping materials to create a beautiful patio for your Bullfrog spa. Creating the perfect patio involves choosing a location, layout, color, and stone design to fit with the design of the home and yard as a whole. Teamed up with the Deck and Patio Company, we have three ICPI (interlocking concrete pavement institute) certified builders on staff. Our patios are second to none both in terms of aesthetics and quality. We make sure to consider all colors, shapes, designs, inlays, and other aspects of the area when deciding which style of stone to use. Our work blends seamlessly with the yard to look like it belongs there. We build our patios over and eight inch base of recycled concrete aggregate, twice as thick as the industry standard four inch base, because it increases the longevity of our patios. We use the best available building materials including Cambridge and Techo-Bloc pavers because they are durable through even the toughest heat and freeze-thaw conditions.

A patio is a great way to incorporate your Bullfrog spa into your yard. The difference between a portable spa looking plain and looking elegant is not in the choice of the spa, but the surrounding area. A patio gives the area surrounding the spa a very distinct, crisp look, adding to the sophistication of the space.
